brit & nina’s wedding // seattle, wa

This wedding gave me a lot of firsts… my first same-sex wedding, my first time being published in a magazine, and my first time having an award-winning image. eeeeeeeeeeeee! utterly ridiculous! I want to think that my photo skills are to thank for this, but really, it’s that Brit & Nina are so damn HOT, and here is proof that the whole world agrees… their wedding had a two page spread in Seattle Bride Magazine’s 2013 Spring/Summer Issue, and surprise of all surprises, one of their images placed in PDN’s Top Knots Wedding Contest. So both regionally & internationally, this is a very big deal to me. A very big deal. I don’t really want to brag about it, but you know… I really want to brag about it! Look at me, mom!!!

I really want to thank Brit & Nina, not only for trusting me to be their wedding photographer, but for being such great friends to me. We all knew from the very first few emails we exchanged & then the first time we got together for drinks, that this was destined to be a forever friendship… I couldn’t be happier to have two people in my life who are so creative, so beautiful, and so full of love for each other & for those who enter their lives. I love having friends who love to get drunk, like to get dirty, be a little weird together, and give each other affectionate names like Poopie & who text me with nicknames like, Muffmeister. I am so lucky to be surrounded by people in love, but feel even more lucky to know that sometimes these people in love have room in their hearts & lives to let me in on some of that too… just like Brit & Nina. I love these two.
