If you’ve ever lived in Bremerton, then chances are you’ve heard quiet mentions of the famed Scout Hall dinners, that seem to pop up out of nowhere in their delicious small-town splendor. I’ve been lucky enough to be the unofficial food photographer for Alan & Jodi Davis and their many beautiful ventures, so being here for this dinner last summer was the absolute pièce de ré·sis·tance and the perfect way to experience good ol’ fashioned hometown pride.

These two are the most generous, busy, loving, dream team of a power couple, and as you can see everything and everyone around them lights up with an extra touch of inspiration and creativity. I’m one of those lucky recipients, and I’m so thankful for our friendship.

And for their food. Oh my god.

You might not always be able to find a spot at the Scout Hall dinners, but you’ll always be able to find a good meal at Hound + Bottle… I highly recommend, if you’re local or if you just want to feel like a local.
